Turkish First Lady Emine Erdoğan announced Wednesday that son auto-isolation period after a test positive for the coronavirus has ended. In a tweet, she expressed her gratitude to the health teams and wished all COVID-19 patients well.

the first lady and President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan tested positive for the virus on February 5. The couple was in self-isolation in their residence in Istanbul. The infection did not affect their daily routine car they only experienced mild symptoms. L’auto-isolation process completed last Thursday after testing negative but the first lady had to quarantine longer. The president said on Monday that the first lady was always positive and couldn’t accompany her in his historic visit to the United Arab Emirates (UAE).

The couple were fully vaccinated against coronavirus, so they only suffered a mild episode of illness rather than severe symptoms. Both were infected with omicron, one fast- spread of the stump of coronavirus which has caused an unprecedented push in coronavirus cases in the country, although experts say that new the voltage is less fatal.

However, the daily figures worry the public. Daily deaths reached 309, the highest in months, while new daily cases exceeded 94,000. Health Minister Fahrettin Koca urged elderly citizens and those with chronic diseases to exercise more caution after data release. “The fact Just because omicron infections are generally milder doesn’t mean everything else is fine.
