UN humanitarian coordinator in Ukraine Osnat Lubrani said on Tuesday that the organization managed to evacuate about 101 people from the Mariupol Azovstal steel plant.
Lubrani said in a statement that most of them arrived in the city of Zaporizhia, where they receive humanitarian aid, “leaving the trenches under the Azovstal plant and seeing the light in two months.”
The International Committee of the Red Cross, also involved in the evacuation, issued a parallel statement that “some of them were injured.”
