The Russian Defense Ministry said on Sunday that it had destroyed a Ukrainian warship near Odessa during the night.
The ministry said its missiles hit a warship (Project 1241), a type of Soviet missile ship that NATO has named the Tarantol.
The defense ministry said its air defenses shot down two Ukrainian Su-24 bombers and a Mi-24 helicopter over Zmeiny or Serpentine Island in the Black Sea last night.
In total, four Ukrainian combat aircraft, four helicopters and a combat boat were destroyed over the past day.
