Al-Baha University will host the male and female student chess championship as part of the Saudi Arabian Universities Sports Federation competition from 11 to 13 Shawwal this year.
The President of the Saudi Arabia University Sports Federation, Dr. Khaled Al-Museini, stated that the Federation always strives to diversify its competitions in order to attract the largest category of male and female students, wishing all universities success and success, expressing great confidence in Al Baha University, represented by the Dean of student affairs, for the success of this tournament with their permanent distinction.
Tournament director Zamil Al Osman indicated that the number of registered students for the tournament has reached 52 students representing 17 universities.
While the number of registered female students has reached 41, representing 15 universities, the tournament will be judged by (6) judges for the men’s competition and (4) judges for the women’s competition.
The tournament is the first chess tournament organized by the Saudi Arabian Universities Sports Federation in cooperation with the Saudi Arabian Chess Federation.
