This morning, the delegation of the Saudi Arabia national badminton team took off from King Khalid International Airport and headed to the capital of Slovenia, Maribor, to participate in the Slovenian International Badminton Championship, which will be held in the city of Maribor from May 18 to 21. this month with the participation of 35 countries, primarily: India, China, Bulgaria, Denmark and Australia, UK, Croatia, USA, Malaysia, France, Ukraine, Switzerland, Sweden, Finland, Indonesia and Hungary.
The team is represented in the first team category by 3 players, Moaz Al-Ghamdi, Abdullah Al-Harti and Nawaf Al-Ghamdi. The tournament will include singles and doubles competitions, which will be played in a knockout system.
For his part, the head of the Saudi Arabian Badminton Federation, Muqrin Al-Muqrin, praised the role of the championship, which will help the players of the Saudi Arabia national team gain experience and improve their level through contacts with players from developed countries in the game, stressing that Al-Ahdar players put in a lot of effort during the preparation for the tournament to achieve international achievement on behalf of the Kingdom during their participation in this tournament.
