Bayern Munich sporting director Hasan Salihamidzic said the club had made a specific offer to extend the contract of their attacking star Robert Lewandowski.
In a statement to Sport 1, Hamidzic said on Sunday: “We made the offer quite clearly in conversation with his agent. It is clear that he received a proposal for duration and amount. On the other hand, 33-year-old Lewandowski, who received the award for the best player in the world, said after the last game of the German league season that he had not received an offer from the club, and at the same time declared his desire to leave Bayern.
The departure date of the Polish footballer from Bayern is still unknown, as he is still bound by a contract with the Bavarian club until the summer of 2023. Bayern CEO Oliver Kahn and Hamidic have reportedly ruled out Lewandowski leaving before his contract expired on numerous occasions. Hamidzic repeated: Leva has a contract until next summer, and he will fulfill it.
