The Asian Football Confederation (AFC) announced on Tuesday that it has opened the door for all member associations to express interest in hosting the 2023 AFC Asian Cup.
This came after China apologized for hosting the 2023 AFC Asian Cup, when the AFC General Assembly, at its thirty-second meeting, gave the AFC administration the authority to set the conditions and requirements for submitting nomination files in order to find an alternative to hosting the tournament.
Upon completion of the application process, the AFC management will submit a report of their recommendations to the AFC Executive Office to select the new host of the 2023 AFC Asian Cup.
The deadline for applying to host the Asian Cup 2023 is June 30, 2022.
