The Royal High School Boys Football Championship 2022 kicked off last Saturday at the stadiums of King Abdullah Sports City in Jeddah. The 32 school teams from the regions that qualified for the Kingdom Elite Championship will compete in the tournament in two categories, the first category is 16 teams representing the intermediate stage (15 years), and the second group is 16 teams representing the middle stage (18 years). ), as the championship competition will end on June 13.
The Kingdom Elite School Football Championship is run by 34 referees and supervised by 8 observers, while scouts and coaches from several clubs such as Al Ittihad, Al Nasr, Al Taawun, Al Raed “and Al-Ahly. In addition to Real Madrid, Barcelona, Atlético Madrid, Via Real from Spain and Manchester City from Great Britain, Milan from Italy, Benfica and Lisbon from Portugal, Ajax Amsterdam from the Netherlands and Monaco from France. .
The School League is one of the projects of the Ministry of Sports, which has been implemented since 2019 in cooperation with the Ministry of Education, and aims to identify and develop football sports talents in public schools in all cities and provinces of the Kingdom.
On the other hand, the introductory volleyball course for “female” teachers, which was conducted “remotely” through the Zoom app, organized by the Saudi Arabian Volleyball Federation and in cooperation with the Saudi Arabian School Sports Federation, was launched yesterday under the programs of the Ministry of Sports “School league” in its third season in 2022 AD. The course aims to explain the basics of the game to female teachers and learn about its laws and how to play it. The female teachers are then trained to lecture to all female teachers in the regions of the Kingdom.
The introductory session, which lasts three days, was attended by the maximum number of participants in the Zoom program, namely 1000 teachers, during which the lecturer, professor of volleyball of the Teachers College of Umm Al Qura University, Dr. Muhammad Salama presented many topics related to with all the subtleties of the game of volleyball, provided that the courses are presented in person in various regions of the Kingdom after the end of the current session.
This is the first introductory course for female teachers at the volleyball level after adding various games to the School League project, the third season of which started in March 2022 AD, indicating the expansion of targeted sports such as basketball, volleyball, handball, have been judo, taekwondo and jiu-jitsu games were launched, as well as football.
