Today, HRH Prince Faisal bin Nawaf bin Abdulaziz, Governor of the Al Jawf region, opened the Al Adari Camel Field and witnessed the first official race on the field.
Inspector General of Al Jawf Camel Fields, Advisor for Culture and Heritage in the Emirate of the Nawaf Region bin Zuhiban Al Khalidi delivered a speech welcoming His Highness the Emir of the Al Jawf Region and thanking His Highness for supporting purebred camel sport. On behalf of the owners camel race, he expressed his gratitude to His Highness the Governor of the region for his constant promotion of the revival of the national heritage, emphasizing that the presence of His Highness, the opening and sponsorship of camel races and events – today – motivate the people of the region and those who are interested in this sport.
Then the head of the Al-Adhaa center, Awad bin Abdullah Al-Khanaini, read a poem on this occasion, after which four rounds of the race started.
And the first place in the running Lakaya Bakkar, Shawahin belongs to Fahd bin Dahil bin Saadoun Al-Shamri and in the second half Lakaya Qaadan, Shaheen belongs to Obaid bin Nazzal Al-Omrani and in the third round Bakkarhakayk, the first place Shakra from the owner Al- Anizi and Iyad bin Khalaf. The last of Al-Qaadan Haqaik, the first place was taken by Al-Qaeed, its owner Eid bin Marzouk Al-Saadi.
Then His Highness the Emir of the Al-Jawf region received a gift from the residents of the center, which was presented to His Highness citizen Mukbil bin Saud Al-Sanah. This is the flag of the Kingdom, woven from a hand garden in Al Jawf.
His Royal Highness Prince Faisal bin Nawaf praised the generous support and interest in this ancient and authentic sport from our prudent government – God bless it – which forms an important part of our many sports in which the Kingdom excels, expressing his pride in what he saw today from the commitment of the youth of the region to this ancient heritage that has been passed down from generation to generation. A generation later, the area has been known and preserved for millennia, and the best proof of this is what was recently discovered by the Sakak Camel Site Heritage Authority, the scientific results of which show that it dates back to the Neolithic period between 5200-5600 BC.
