Prince Faisal bin Al Hussein sworn in as Viceroy of King Abdullah II

Today, Tuesday, the Royal Court of Jordan announced that King Abdullah II of Jordan is leaving the country, and half-brother Prince Faisal bin Al Hussein has taken the constitutional oath.

The Royal Court of Justice said in an official statement released by the Jordanian News Agency that King Abdullah II of Jordan will not celebrate Eid al-Adha inside the country.

The Royal Court of Jordan has announced that King Abdullah II is flying to the UK for a series of official meetings led by British Prime Minister Boris Johnson.

The agency indicated that the Jordanian monarch left his homeland on a working visit to the British capital London, during which he will meet with the new British Prime Minister Boris Johnson.

She explained that King Abdullah II will spend the Eid al-Adha holiday in the UK and the US, where he arrives.

The Royal Court of Justice explained that the meeting between King Abdullah II and the British Prime Minister will focus on the strategic and historical relationship that links Jordan and the United Kingdom.

The parties will also discuss current regional developments, and the Jordanian monarch will congratulate the British Prime Minister on taking office.

The Royal Court of Jordan also indicated that Prince Faisal bin Al Hussein, half-brother of King Abdullah II, took the constitutional oath before the cabinet.

She explained that Prince Faisal bin Al Hussein was sworn in as the deputy of King Abdullah II during his absence from the country.
