British police on Monday arrested an international player playing for a Premier League club on suspicion of rape.
Police added: A 29-year-old man was arrested in Barnet on suspicion of rape and taken into custody, the investigation is still ongoing.
A London police spokesman told the BBC: “On 4 July, a woman in her twenties reported to the police a woman in her twenties who had been raped in an incident last month.
