Al-Fateh have completed the contract process for Spanish defender Fran Velez, the Greek player of Panathinaikos, with a professional contract that is extended until 2024.
Vélez is regarded as one of the outstanding defenders and has previously played for many Spanish clubs, including Gimnastic Tarkona, Almeria and Union Deportiva Logreñes.
Notably, Vélez is the second of the opening deals that see him fit for the new season, as the start was with Swedish goalkeeper Jakob René (28), the goalkeeper of Danish club Olmburg, and the best goalkeeper in the Danish league for 2021.
