Former Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe was attacked Friday and was seen bleeding during an event in the western city of Nara and was unconscious.
Several local media outlets, including the Kyodo news agency, reported that the former prime minister was attacked and wounded in the right side of the neck.
In parallel, national broadcaster NHK reported that he showed no vital signs after he was transferred to the hospital.
