Algerian international striker Riad Mahrez’s phone drew a lot of ridicule on social media, prompting a comment from the Manchester City star.
Before heading to the United States with his team, Mahrez posted a photo on Twitter with a broken phone in his hand.
The sarcastic comments caused Riyad Mahrez to go on air and post another photo of a broken phone, commenting on it with the words: “Yes, I know that”, jokingly: “I was waiting for a contract renewal.”
The pictures sparked comments from followers who were amazed at how the big star used the broken phone. One of them said, “Are you really a millionaire?” and the other said, “Thank God, celebrities keep their broken phones too.”
Mahrez was referring to extending his contract with Manchester City until 2025.
