In their letter to the Ministry of Sports, which includes the dissolution of the current board of directors, the gold members of Al Ahli cited several clear violations of the circulars of the Ministry of Sports, as well as the club’s charter.
The extraordinary meeting of the General Assembly, which took place last Monday, concluded that some of the gold members sent an official letter, including a request for the dissolution of the club’s board of directors based on the violations mentioned in the letter, and for the transfer of the persons who committed these violations, to the competent authorities.
Gold members began their letter to the Ministry of Sports with the violation by the club’s board of directors of a direct circular to the ministry not to burden the clubs with a financial burden due to the termination of the contracts of some players and coaches.
The letter stated that the Al Ahly administration terminated the contracts of 5 foreign professionals unilaterally without handing over their financial contributions to these players, resulting in the club receiving cash sums of 51 million riyals.

The Al-Ahly administration has not paid out 54 million riyals of this total, except for 2 million rials for Shariq and 1 million for Al-Naqaz, so 51 million rials remains due to these players.
The gold member’s letter also contained a clear violation of the club’s bylaws, which require, in one of its clauses, the mandatory renunciation of any discussion or decision that raises suspicion or the possibility of a conflict of interest, as well as decisions regarding the limits of authority granted under the club’s bylaws.
Members felt that these irregularities resulted in the failure of the club’s cost-cutting goals.
As a result, the “gold members” called for the dissolution of the current board of directors due to these administrative and financial violations and for the transfer of those responsible to the competent authorities.
