The Muslim World League welcomed the announcement of an extension of the truce in the Republic of Yemen for another two months.
His Excellency Sheikh Dr. Muhammad bin Abdul Karim Al-Issa, Secretary General of the Muslim World League and Chairman of the Association of Muslim Scholars, commended the efforts of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to achieve this vital goal for the dear Yemeni people. , stressing that this comes within the framework of the Kingdom’s key role in enhancing security and stability in the region and the world, and in the context of the March 2021 initiative launched by Saudi Arabia to end the crisis in Yemen and achieve a comprehensive political solution.
His Excellency also commended the efforts of the United Nations Secretary-General’s Special Envoy for Yemen, Mr. Hans Grundberg, to promote the truce.
On behalf of the General Secretariat of the League and its international councils, bodies and councils, Dr. Al-Issa affirmed full solidarity with the dear Yemeni people and support for everything that reaches their aspirations, asking Almighty God to grant the Republic of Yemen security and stability.
