Argentinean police have arrested a soccer player who punched a match referee in the back of the head during a match between two local teams from the regional league, which took place in the country’s capital, Buenos Aires, CNN reports.
Wise, Dalma Magali Kortadi, blamed the error on one of the two players, Christian Tyrone, and showed him a red card, which angered the latter, thinking he had been treated unfairly, prompting him to attack her and hit her before she fell to the ground.
According to the video clip, some members of the team watching the match intervened to keep Theron away from Ms. Cortadi to prevent her from further harm before the police intervened and removed him from the stadium.
Al-Hikma was also transferred to a nearby hospital to ensure her safety and avoid serious injury, and after checking on her health, Kortadi went to the police station to file a complaint against the offending player.

For its part, the Football Association of Argentina condemned the actions of player Christian Theron against referee Dalma Cortadi, calling the latter a victim of physical abuse during the second half of the second half of the match.
The federation emphasized that it will never tolerate such incidents and will monitor the progress and development of the case, and that the player will be presented to the disciplinary board for the imposition of financial penalties on him, explaining that such “abnormal incidents should not be repeated.” The statement added: “The Argentine Football Association expresses its solidarity with Ms. Dalma Magali Cortadi and offers her the most sincere and sincere apologies.” He stressed that his doors would remain open to all support, and that he was “committed to continuing to work to eradicate violence in all its forms and to spread the values of discipline, respect and tolerance.”
