The Political Action Committee, which collects campaign finance for former US President Donald Trump, has announced that it will host a dinner where guests can take pictures with the former US President, but the only downside might be that the entry ticket is $100,000! According to the British newspaper The Times,
This is the Make America Great Again event. Candlelight Dinner will be held at the Trump Golf Club in Bedminster, New Jersey.
The organizers promised that this would be the highlight of the day in Bedminster, as not only dinner and photography, but “the opportunity to play golf with President Donald Trump is also available to anyone who asks.” Forbes noted that the organizers of the banquets could pay Trump and rent a golf course, and since Trump is the sole owner of the site, the event would have been beneficial to him in another way.
The invitation did not specify what food would be served at the banquet, but Trump has previously served hamburgers and fries during White House events, and alcohol may also be available, but given that Trump abstained from alcohol due to age and health factors he is at least likely to remain vigilant.
The official, whose phone number is listed under the invitation, declined to provide any further information about the dinner and said he was not interested in talking to the press, but did not deny any details received. The money is expected to pay for the increased costs of defending Trump during ongoing investigations against him and to fund his proposed 2020 presidential campaign.
