According to media reports, police said armed robbers broke into the home of Barcelona striker Pierre Eymeric-Aubameyang early Monday morning and attacked the player and his wife to force them to open the safe and steal jewelry.

Spanish newspaper El Pais reported that the footballer and his wife, Alisha, suffered minor injuries. Aubameyang, 33, did not confirm any details of the theft. Police said this is the second time in the last two months that Aubameyang’s home in Castelldefels, a suburb of Barcelona, has been robbed, although the player and his family were not at home at the time of the first break-in.
