Russian-backed separatists in eastern Ukraine claimed to have captured two towns in Luhansk, the RIA news the agency reported Thursday.
They claimed they had captured the cities of Shchastia and Stanytsia Luhanska in Ukraine region of Luhansk.
There was no immediate comment by the authorities in Ukraine.
