Today, the Turkish authorities have suspended the movement of ships in the Bosphorus due to the breakdown of a dry cargo ship and its landing on land on the way from Ukraine to Istanbul.
A statement from Turkey’s General Directorate of Coastal Security said a cargo ship named “Lady Zahma” ran aground after breaking down, heading towards Istanbul, and moored in the Bebek area.
The department confirmed that rescue ships and boats were sent to the parking lot of the 173-meter dry cargo ship, and said: “The movement of ships in the strait has been suspended.”
