Al-Tuwaijri: stepping up humanitarian response to alleviate suffering from drought in Somalia and floods in Sudan

Dr. Saleh bin Hamad Al Tuwaijri, Secretary General of the Arab Red Crescent and Red Cross Organization ARCO, indicated that the humanitarian situation in Somalia is deteriorating; In connection with the expectation of its aggravation; This requires humanitarian organizations to increase humanitarian assistance to those affected by the drought and its consequences. He stressed the importance of partnerships for the success of humanitarian action; He said, “No one can work alone; there must be solidarity, cooperation and distribution of roles between actors working in the humanitarian field; in a number of states in Sudan, homeless people sleep on the ground and cover the sky.
