Unusually, the BBC’s English site surprised its visitors with black in its logo and the channel’s website pages with their famous red color.

What is striking is that the site in Arabic has not changed and has remained the same in the familiar red color.

It comes at a time when Buckingham Palace announced on Thursday that doctors were concerned about the health of Queen Elizabeth II and advised her to remain under medical supervision.

“The Queen remains calm at Balmoral,” the palace said in a statement, while Reuters quoted a palace source as saying that immediate members have been briefed on the queen’s health.

According to AFP, the 96-year-old queen has been suffering from health problems since October last year that make it difficult for her to walk and stand.

On Wednesday, the Queen was forced to cancel a hypothetical meeting with senior ministers after doctors advised her to rest.

The day before (Tuesday), she was photographed at a reception for Liz Terrace, the country’s new prime minister, at Balmoral Castle in Scotland.
