Today, the 31st GCC Civil Defense Directors General Meeting was held at the headquarters of the General Secretariat in Riyadh, chaired by the responsible Director General of Civil Defense, Major General Dr. The meeting began with a speech by Representative of Secretariat Assistant for Security Affairs Adviser Mohsen Obeid Al-Hazmi, in which he conveyed greetings from His Excellency Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council, Dr. Nayef Falah Mubarak Al-Hajraf, and Assistant Secretary of State for Security Affairs, Major General Hazza Mubar al-Hajri wished the participants payment and success in their respected meeting. The floor was given to the Director General of Civil Defense in which he welcomed all the participating delegations and conveyed the greetings of His Royal Highness Prince Abdulaziz bin Saud bin Nayef bin Abdulaziz, Minister of Home Affairs, wishing the participants to present the results and recommendations that will have a wide and significant impact on the contribution to strengthening civil protection in the countries of the Council.
During the meeting, many topics of mutual interest were discussed, including the results of the implementation of the recommendations of the 30th meeting, the development of the activities of civil defense bodies.
