The torch of the first Saudi Arabian Games 2022 continues its tour of various regions and cities of the Kingdom to promote the positive values of the largest national sporting event in the history of the Kingdom through a relay race that will cover more than 3500 km across the Kingdom, and the march landed in 5 regions and visited. During which 14 places with the most outstanding cultural, historical, civilizational and tourist attractions were accompanied by a number of heroes and influential people in society, who made great contributions, heroism and achievements, to convey the message of peace and friendship to the people throughout the march, and to provide all members of society the opportunity to observe the torch and participate in the celebration of its humanitarian symbolism.
The torch relay kicked off Sunday, September 11 in front of the headquarters of the Saudi Arabian Olympic and Paralympic Committee at the Prince Faisal bin Fahd Olympic Complex in Riyadh, where His Highness Prince Fahd bin Jalawi bin Abdulaziz bin Musaed, Vice President of the Olympic and Paralympic Committee of Saudi Arabia lit the Course Director, the first torch marked the start of the torch in the presence of Her Royal Highness Princess Dalil bint Nahar bin Saud Al Saud, Deputy Course Director, and Olympic champion Kamal. Bahhamdan was the first athlete to be honored to carry the torch of the 2022 Saudi Arabian Games.
And during the launch of the torch, the star of the Saudi Arabian water polo team, Bader Al-Degaiter, who passed it in turn to the Saudi jockey Dalma Malhas, participated in the transfer of the torch during its launch, then the torch was handed over to the Saudi Paralympic champion Nadia Fahd Al. -Hamidani and later Saudi swimmer and Paralympic champion Ibrahim Al-Marzouki received the torch.
The torch relay then headed towards Medina, and the procession passed through the Prince Muhammad bin Abdulaziz International Airport and from there to the Quba Mosque, where several athletes took turns carrying the torch of the tournament. on the camel Naif Al-Juhani, and then the torch relay moved to the Hejaz Railway, where the torch was received by former basketball player Mohsen Khalaf, who handed it over to His Excellency Mr. Second of the session.
