Al-Hilal and Al-Nasr will participate in the Asian Club Basketball Championship following the approval of the International Basketball Federation Asian Executive Office to host the Asian Club Basketball Home and Away Championship instead of the previous combined method, and its launch date has been set for December 19, 2022 AD, and the clubs participating in the qualifying tournaments were divided by geography (East and West Asia), and the countries of Western Asia were divided into two groups: one of them represents the Persian Gulf region, and the other – the rest of the countries of Western Asia, and each group includes 8 clubs. And the runner-up of the league champion for first and second place in the last Gulf club championship that Kuwait and Kuwait have reached, and second place behind the victory of Saudi Arabia, then additional places in the West Asian Championship will be for Saudi Arabia and Kuwait.
The top three winners from the GCC and West Asia region will qualify for the final round of the West Asian Championship, in addition to the Kazakhstan League and Indian League champions in the combined tournament.
On the other hand, Asian Executive Office official Mr. Ravi Caspian will visit the Kingdom today, Monday, to hold a meeting with the Board of Directors of the Saudi Basketball Federation and representatives of the Kingdom of Al-Klub “Hilal” and “Al-Nasr”, to discuss the details of the tournament, as well as visit sports facilities where tournament matches are held.
