The governor of Jeddah accepts the torch of the Saudi Games 2022.

On behalf of His Royal Highness Prince Khalid Al Faisal, Governor of Mecca Al Mukarrama Region, His Highness Prince Saud bin Abdullah bin Jalavi, Governor of Jeddah, accepted the torch of the Saudi Games 2022 as part of a promotional tour. For launching the nation’s largest sporting event in the nation’s capital Riyadh between 27 October and 7 November.

The torch march passed through a number of locations in the city of Jeddah, accompanied by a number of heroes and influencers in society who have made great contributions, championships and achievements. To convey the message of peace and friendship to the people, as well as to give all members of society the opportunity to witness the torch and participate in the celebration of its humanitarian symbolism.

The torch relay visited the headquarters, the Jeddah Corniche circuit, the Jeddah Historic District and the Jeddah waterfront sign, and ended its tour at the Al Jawhara Stadium in the King Abdullah Sports City. He took turns carrying the torch during his sports career, Yasmine Al-Dabbagh, track and field athlete, soccer player Mohammed Nour, taekwondo athlete Yousef Al-Dabbagh, mountaineer Raha Al-Muharraq, media personality Yasser Al-Saqqaf, track and field athlete Mazen Al-Yasin, judoka Issa Majrashi, businessman and climber Badr Al-Shaybani; Saudi handball player and board member of the Al-Ahly club Abbas Hayat; former goalkeeper of the Saudi Arabia national team and former president of the Saudi Arabian Football Association Ahmed Al-Eid.

The march will then proceed to Taif Province, then to the Jazan region, then to Al-Baha, then to Al-Ula province, then to the capital of Riyadh, and from there to Abha until the end of the torch relay on October 10 in the province of Diriyah.
