Israel’s Internal Security Service (Shin Bet) announced yesterday that it had dismantled an Islamic State-linked cell following deadly attacks linked to it earlier this year.
The agency said in a statement: “A few weeks ago, it arrested six residents of Nazareth and interrogated them on suspicion of attempting to carry out terrorist activities for (ISIS) inside (Israel).
He added: “The suspects have gathered to prepare for the attacks, and his investigation shows the organization’s influence in Israel.” In March last year, an ISIS sympathizer stabbed and rammed in the southern Israeli city of Beersheba, killing four people, and a few days later, the organization launched a second shooting attack that killed two police officers in the city of Hadera .
