The World Health Organization is calling for $81 million for the Pakistani response.

The World Health Organization (WHO) today launched an appeal for $81 million to support Pakistan’s life-saving efforts, address acute malnutrition, strengthen disease surveillance and provide safe drinking water and sanitation following floods.

WHO Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus said that without a large-scale international response in Pakistan, a large number of people could die in the coming weeks, noting that 10 medical facilities in Pakistan were affected, leaving millions of people without access to medical care. along with depletion of stocks Medicines and medical supplies, outbreaks of cholera, dengue fever, malaria and skin infections.
