In an interview with Al-Ain News, the experts added that the group is using the difficult domestic conditions in these countries and their need for funds and investment to create a safe haven for them to travel to Arab countries again.
mass escape
Writer and scholar of political Islam Munir Adib said the Brotherhood is looking for a new haven in Africa, explaining that a number of Brotherhood leaders have begun to transfer capital, trade and companies to Kenya and Somaliland.
Adib told Al-Ain al-Akhbar that the Brotherhood is getting citizenship and rebuilding everything related to its presence there, especially after cracking down on them after the Egyptian-Turkish and Egyptian-Qatari rapprochement.
He explained that they have begun to attach some Brotherhood figures to working establishments in Africa, especially in Somaliland and Kenya, which have no security and prosecution against them, taking advantage of the poverty of these countries and their need for investment and funds and the presence of billions of dollars.
And he pointed out that the Brotherhood was working to exploit the existence of the vast funds they had received from their investments in Qatar, Turkey and Europe, and were now transferring them to these African countries to found new colonies that would allow them to increase their money without supervision.
He pointed out that both Kenya and Somaliland were suffering from health problems, so the Brotherhood used them and built a number of huge hospitals “as a kind of investment in the health sector”, in addition to attracting agencies for cross-border companies, so the organization became a source of national income for these two countries, so he welcomed them.
security zone
Writer and scholar of political Islam Munir Adib also confirmed that Qatar has made it clear that the leaders of the Brotherhood are not welcome in their land, especially public and prominent figures, and that another alternative must be sought.
He pointed out that an alternative, Mahmoud Hussein’s front in Turkey, Ibrahim Munir and his group in London, tried to provide it by pouring huge funds into the search for an “alternative residence” after the loss of Qatar and Turkey while the European uprising existed. against the organization, so the trend was towards Africa.
He agreed with Munir, Islamic group affairs analyst Amr Abdel Moneim that Kenya and Somaliland have become major havens and stations for investment in mining, health care and agriculture.
In his interview with Al-Ain News, Abdel Moneim added that Doha has worked after reconciliation and rapprochement with Egypt to expel many members of the Brotherhood and stop their campaigns over the past 7 months.
He added that Qatar had advised residents with permanent jobs not to harm Egypt’s national security in any way, which forced many of them to immigrate to Turkey.
He continued: “In anticipation of any new problems that may arise in Turkey, the move to Somaliland, one of the soft economy areas, started without complications, so they created halal trading companies.
These companies are tied into everything to do with meat, agriculture and fodder to merge into giant companies run by the Brotherhood’s top leaders, said an Islamic faction analyst.
Abdel Moneim also warned against the return of the Brotherhood and its penetration into the Arab countries by creating financial empires in Africa, pointing out that their first definitions, which were given through Hassan Al-Banna, were “We are an economic company”, which they do through the movement of money and the effect of it on some places where the Brotherhood is unknown.
Europe for Leaders
The writer and researcher specializing in terrorist and extremist groups, Amr Farouk, confirmed the same, saying that migration to these countries began after the Brotherhood felt constrained by Arab reconciliation.
Farooq explained to Al Ain News that the Brotherhood’s appearance in the form of blocks in a number of countries is noticeable, after Africa, Canada has appeared in the last two years.
He added that after the appointment of Omar Al-Ghabr as the first Syrian-born Canadian minister, the barriers to immigration have been reduced, making them a great haven, especially after the crackdown on them in Arab and European countries.
He pointed out that the Brotherhood is sending its chapters to Africa, but the leaders are working to live in Europe for greater prosperity and provide a rich life for their children.
He emphasized that the Brotherhood is giving them a place in Africa for a while and allocating these countries of the continent to train their youth in weapons, violence and extremism, pointing to the presence of members of the extremist group Mohamed Kamal against the backdrop of lack of security and law and order and the proliferation of armed groups there.
He said that the Brotherhood is working from Europe and Africa to invest in social media, engage youth through them and shape public opinion against countries that will be involved in internal conflicts.
