Barcelona coach Xavi plans to make major changes to his squad against Villarreal in the tenth round of the Spanish Championship at the Camp Nou stadium.
According to press reports yesterday, in Spain, Xavi is set to put forward the duo of Ansu Fati and Ferran Torres in the Barça starting lineup, especially after the difference the two made against Real Madrid in the last Clasico and managed to stop Real Madrid’s danger.
Ferran Torres was involved in the 60th minute of Barcelona’s last match against Real Madrid, while Ansu Fati came on in the 73rd minute and the duo excelled on a technical level and scored first for Barça’s only goal.
And the newspaper said that after Torres and Fati’s outstanding performance against Real Madrid, Javi Hernandez will rely on them against Villarreal, an important part of the revolution the coach is preparing to lead in front of the yellow submarines.
It will also keep Sergio Busquets on the bench for Barcelona against Villarreal and push the trio of Gavi, Pedri and De Jong right from the start.
Barcelona are in second place in the La Liga standings with 22 points, behind leaders Real Madrid with 25 points.
