It is noteworthy that on Thursday the parliament expressed confidence in the government of Mohammed Shia al-Sudani after the presentation of his government program, which received an absolute majority by voting.
Fight against corruption and waste of public money
And a ministerial curriculum was agreed between all political forces, which included work to reform the economy, finance and the service sector, Consensus reports.
The ministerial curriculum also emphasized a number of highlights, including the fight against poverty and unemployment, the fight against financial and administrative corruption, the solution to the electricity crisis, the protection of the poor, the fight against unemployment, the provision of jobs, the revitalization of the role of investment bodies, the promotion industry, accelerating the restoration of the liberated areas, replenishing the list of displaced persons, improving public services for the population.
In addition to fighting corruption and wasting public money, restructuring the state budget and managing public money to reduce consumer spending pressure, improve the quality and protection of telecommunications services, develop the transport sector and others.
It is noteworthy that Al-Sudani has previously stressed that corruption is more dangerous than the coronavirus pandemic, given that it is the cause of many economic problems, the weakening of state power, the spread of poverty, unemployment and the weakness of public services.
