Kawsar Al Baroudi won two gold medals in the women’s swimming competition held today at the Aquatics Hall of the Prince Faisal bin Fahd Olympic Complex as part of the Saudi Arabian Games 2022 to be held in the capital Riyadh. and will last until November 7th.
In the women’s 50m freestyle, Kauthar Al-Baroudi placed first and the gold medal in 29:29 seconds, followed by Hana Jaber who placed second with a time of 30.01 seconds and Mashael Al-Ayed placed third. and a bronze medal with a time of 30.70 seconds.
Al Baroudi won her second gold medal in the women’s 50m breaststroke with a time of 38:20. Maryam Mustafa placed second with a time of 39:37 and Mashael Al Ayed placed third with a time of 41:00.
The winners were crowned by Adwaa Al-Arifi, member of the Board of Directors of the Saudi Arabian Olympic and Paralympic Committee, Deputy Minister for Planning and Development of the Ministry of Sports, Mona Al-Shehab, member of the Women’s Sports Committee, and engineer Ahmed Al-Qudmani, head of the Saudi Swimming Federation.
The badminton competition began today at the Leadership Training Institute at the Prince Faisal bin Fahd Olympic Complex, with 32 male and female players representing 13 clubs. The group stage competition will continue today and tomorrow, with the final rounds taking place next Thursday.
