His Excellency Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Cabinet Member and Climate Envoy Mr. Adel bin Ahmed Al Jubeir participated today in a meeting entitled “Diplomatic relations and international cooperation” under the “Green Saudi Arabia” initiative. The forum was held on the sidelines of the World Climate Summit Cop 27 in Sharm el-Sheikh. At the beginning of the session, His Excellency spoke about the Kingdom’s efforts and initiatives to preserve the environment and reduce the effects of climate change, which are among the pillars of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030, noting that the Kingdom has many initiatives in the field of renewable energy for environmental protection. environment and must pay attention to climate change.
Speaking about the importance of international cooperation in the field of climate, His Excellency said: “The issue of climate change knows no gender, gender or borders”, calling on the international community to cooperate to address the effects of climate change.
In this regard, His Excellency touched upon the outcome of the Green Middle East 2022 Summit and the importance of achieving climate and environmental goals in a way that contributes to the achievement of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals for 2030.
