UEFA has canceled the sponsorship deal with Russian energy company Gazprom, in the government of European football body She said on Monday, in answer to Russian invasion of Ukraine.
“UEFA has today decided to end its partnership with Gazprom in everything competitions. The decision takes effect immediately and covers all existing agreements, including the UEFA Champions League, UEFA national team competitions and UEFA EURO 2024.
The sponsorship deal was in place since 2012 and is said to be worth around 40 million euros (44.8 million dollars) per season.
Uefa and FIFA announced Monday all Russian national And club teams have been suspended from international football.
