Former US President Donald Trump has officially announced his candidacy in the 2024 US presidential election.
“To make America great and glorious again, I’m running my candidacy for President of the United States tonight,” Trump said at his Mar-a-Lago resort in Palm Beach, Florida.
Last week, Trump hinted at another attempt to win the White House in the midterm congressional elections, sparking speculation that he is looking to re-run US President Joe Biden in 2024.
Minutes before he showed up at the event to announce his candidacy, the Trump campaign filed federal paperwork to announce his candidacy again, becoming the first major contender from any party to officially announce his participation in the upcoming election.
