If Ukraine falls, Russian troops will be on NATO borders, said Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy on Tuesday.
Zelenskyy said Russia must call a halt to the bombing of Ukrainian cities before meaningful talks on a ceasefire could start as a first round of this week’s negotiations had yielded little progress.
Speaking in a meeting in a well kept government complex, Zelenskiy urged NATO members to impose a no-fly zone to stop the army fromair Russian, saying it was a preventive measure and not intended to drag the alliance into war with Russia.
Zelensky, who refused offers to leave the Ukrainian capital as Russian forces advanced, also said that Ukraine demand legally binding security guarantees if NATO shut the door on Ukraine membership prospects.
