Guterres: Humanity has become a “weapon of mass extinction”

UN Secretary-General António Guterres warned today, Tuesday, on the eve of the Conference of the Parties on Biological Diversity (COP15) in Montreal, that humanity has become a “weapon for mass destruction” of nature, which “we treat like a toilet”. “…It is unfair that humanity has become a weapon of total annihilation,” given that the conference represents “our opportunity to stop this destructive obscenity.”
