Chelsea continued to lose points after Serge Aurier lost 1-1 to Nottingham Forest in the English Premier League.
Raheem Sterling put the visitors ahead in the 16th minute with his first league goal since August.
Forest improved in the second half and was unlucky enough to equalize earlier when a Morgan Gibbs-White shot bounced off the crossbar just before the line.
Forest continued his attempts and Aurier equalized with a close range strike in the 63rd minute.
Forest came close to turning the match in their favour, but Chelsea held on to win the draw and remained in eighth place, seven points behind Manchester United in fourth place.
Forest remained in the relegation zone, but moved up to 18th place and has 14 points, just like West Ham United ahead of them in the standings.
