His Royal Highness Prince Khaled Al Faisal, Advisor to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, Governor of Makkah Al-Mukarrama Region, received Abdulaziz bin Aboud, Director-General of the Regional Branch of the Ministry of Sports, at the Emirate’s Headquarters in Jeddah, who presented His Highness with the branch’s annual report.
The report presents the sporting events and activities implemented in Mecca Al Mukarrama during the sports season (2021-2022), the most notable of which are 10 international tournaments in various games, including (Formula – Dakar Rally – Super Hearts Handball – Basketball 3×3 – Freestyle Wrestling – Weightlifting World Cup – Beach Water Polo – Red Sea Wrestling).
According to the report, the number of sports halls reached 9,146 for men and women, and 2,573 activities were held in various group and individual games in Mecca Al-Mukarrama.
