The speaker of the Libyan House of Representatives, Aguila Saleh, accused the head of the Supreme Council of State, Khaled al-Mashri, of complicating the political situation in Libya, calling for subjecting all articles of the constitutional regulation. Saleh said in statements to the Libyan Al-Masar TV channel that “the hand of the House of Representatives is extended for consensus, and we stick to constants.” Council of State or anyone else”, accusing Al-Mashri also of not respecting the Bouznik agreement in Morocco regarding sovereign positions and the unification of the executive.
He stressed that the fundamental disagreements between the two chambers relate to dual citizenship, noting that he suggested that the winner of the parliamentary and presidential elections be given one month to renounce foreign citizenship.
He added: “The constitutional declaration is the legal basis for ending the existing political debate, and the current elections can be held on its basis,” stressing that the House of Representatives has put forward all the demands placed on it to complete the elections. .
Akila Saleh concluded by saying that “the proposal to form a mini-government, whose term of office ends with elections in September next year, remains in force”, stressing that “the voice of the people is the last word in the approval of the constitution.”
