Today, Wednesday, Al-Azhar called on the Arab and Islamic peoples to boycott Dutch and Swedish goods of all kinds in support of the Holy Quran, as both countries offend one and a half billion Muslims. Al-Azhar rejected “the persistence of the two countries in defending heinous and barbaric crimes under the inhuman and immoral banner they call freedom of expression.”

The statement emphasized the need for the Arab and Islamic peoples to observe this boycott and to inform their children, youth and women about it. He stressed that any reluctance or negligence in this matter is a clear refusal to support the religion approved for them by God.
