Ambassador Dr. Abdulaziz Al Wazel, Permanent Representative of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to the United Nations, chaired the monthly meeting of the Asia Pacific Group at the United Nations Headquarters in New York last night in the presence of representatives from the 56 countries of the group. Ambassador Al-Wazel confirmed in his speech at the meeting that the Kingdom Mission, during its chairmanship of the group in January 2023 AD, used every opportunity to facilitate the work of chairing this group, expressing gratitude to all member states of the group for their cooperation in during this period.
The representative of the Kingdom emphasized the importance of this group, which is the largest geographical group in the United Nations, commending the desire of all member states of the group to achieve the interests of the countries of the group.
At the end of the meeting, Ambassador Al Wazel handed over the chairmanship of the group to Singapore, where the Representative of Singapore to the United Nations thanked the Representative of the Kingdom for what the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia had provided during its chairmanship of the group. .
