English newspapers praise Newcastle – City Newspaper

The English papers have been writing about the excellent results presented by the Newcastle United team this year, after the recent deals they have made and yesterday’s qualification for the League Cup final. Express, Newcastle are celebrating as if it were 1999, referring to Newcastle’s League Cup victory over Southampton and reaching their first final in 24 years.

And Newcastle qualified for the League Cup final by beating Southampton 2-1 in the second leg of the semi-finals of the competition to face Manchester United in the final on 26 February at Wembley Stadium, who beat Nottingham Forest. and won the match 2-0. This will be the second time Newcastle have reached the League Cup final since 1999 and it was also against Manchester United who then won the title, so the next final will be a rematch for Newcastle.
