His Highness Prince Saud bin Abdullah bin Jalawi, Governor of Jeddah, yesterday received Al Ittihad Club President Anmar Al-Khaili and members and players of the club’s football team at the Governorate Headquarters on the occasion of reaching the Saudi Super Cup in the presence of the Director of the Ministry’s Branch Sports in Mecca Al-Mukarram Abdulaziz bin Aboud Abdullah bin Jalawi team won the cup, wishing them success.
For his part, the chairman of the board of directors of the Al-Ittihad club expressed gratitude to His Highness the Governor of Jeddah for his support of the clubs in the governorate.
Al-Ittihad won the Super Bowl under their new 4-team system as they beat Al-Nasr 3-1 in the semi-finals before winning the final match after defeating Al-Faihaa with a clean double.
