Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba said that Kyiv was waiting for the results of the investigation and that his country had nothing to do with the bombing of the Nord Stream gas pipeline.
This happened after information appeared in the media about the involvement of a Ukrainian group in this act: “It seems that Ukraine is responsible for everything. We are waiting for the results of the investigation.”
On Tuesday, The New York Times reported, citing US officials, that the pipelines may have been blown up by a “pro-Ukrainian group” operating without the knowledge of US authorities. At the same time, Die Zeit published a report that German investigators had identified a ship used by saboteurs, and the company that chartered it allegedly belonged to Ukrainian citizens and was registered in Poland.
The Times reported that European intelligence knows the name of the “private financier” who financed the sabotage, while the secret services did not reveal his identity, but he is a wealthy Ukrainian who claims to have nothing to do with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and his government.
