Turks rally to send aid to Ukraine

Turkish people have intensified their efforts to help Ukraine among the Russians invasion.

The regional branch of Turkish Red Crescent (Kızılay) in Nazilli district in western Aydın province sent 100,000 TL ($7,000) for humanitarian use during the war.

The donation was made by a single contractor in Nazilli, the Ihlas News Agency (IHA) said in a report.

Mevlut Gunay, the head of Kizilay in Nazili, also stressed that “it is very important for Turks to help those in need.”

Adding that they also received donations for Afghan people after the Taliban takeover, Günay said that the Turkish Red Crescent also sent aid to Ukraine after the Russians invasion started.

the official also recalled that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy had also recognized the efforts of the Turkish nation.

After the arrival of basic necessities in its premises, the Embassy of Ukraine in Ankara also recently thanked the Turks for their gifts.

“A friend in need is a friend indeed,” the mission noted in Turkish.

Turkish Red Crescent sent humanitarian aid to Ukraine in response to a call for support by the Ukrainian Red Cross to help those affected by the ongoing humanitarian crisis in Ukraine.

“We are sending a humanitarian aid convoy to #Ukraine to meet urgent needs basic needs, coordination with Ukrainian Red Cross”, Kerem Kınık, the head of the charity, said on Twitter.

“Our teams are deployed in the region with storage tents, family-type tents and mobile restoration vehicles for evacuees and #IDPs (internally displaced persons) people),” Kınık added.

Declaring that he is concerned about possible refugee crisis, Kınık said that all humanitarian officials should to be more proactively avoid this.

“We are ready to send all kinds of humanitarian aid to the Ukrainian Red Cross,” Kınık said.

Humanitarian aid aims to provide relief supplies such as tents and mobile restoration vehicles for the vulnerable who evacuated because of the conflict.

The Turkish Red Crescent is one of top five organizations in the world among 192 national companies in terms of budgetthe number of beneficiaries and projects. As the Red Crescent is an important player in mediation and human diplomacy at theinternationalugly group is now in a considerably more policy- manufacturing station in the international arena.
