UN Secretary-General António Guterres welcomed the agreement between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Islamic Republic of Iran on the resumption of diplomatic relations between them, and UN Spokesperson Stephane Dujarric expressed gratitude to the UN Secretary. – General to China for holding the recent talks, and the Secretary General of the United Nations also welcomed the efforts of other countries in this regard, especially the Sultanate of Oman and Iraq.
The UN representative said that good neighborly relations between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and Iran are essential for stability in the Persian Gulf region.
