The Azerbaijani Defense Ministry stated that its positions were subjected to Armenian shelling on the border with Armenia.
On Friday, the Azerbaijani ministry said in a statement: “In the evening of March 24, the positions of our army on the hypothetical Azerbaijani-Armenian border and in the Karabakh economic region were repeatedly bombed.”
The department indicated that the shelling was in several directions, including the Khojavend region (Martuni, according to the Armenian name) of the Karabakh region.
The ministry confirmed that units of the Azerbaijani army “took appropriate measures” in response to the shelling.
