An earthquake measuring 5.7 on the Richter scale hit the Indonesian island of Sumatra today. The European Mediterranean Seismological Center said the quake’s epicenter was at a depth of 63 km, at the confluence of 04.87 degrees south latitude and 102.86 degrees east longitude. Bloomberg News reports.
There were no immediate reports of casualties or material losses.
